That’s right, we’re doing design. Fashion design at its finest.
But there’s a fine line between our design and our art; it’s a playful dance.
Design needs to solve problems, provide answers, and in our case – offer a trendy, surprising, fun, refreshing event dress, tailored precisely to flatter, made from quality fabrics, and capable of beautifully accommodating various levels of modest standards.
And art? Art is something a bit different.
It aspires to create a “piece” that manages to evoke thoughts and emotions. We’re always challenging ourselves to create a dress that isn’t just beautiful clothing, and not just functional either, but also brings along some kind of “statement.”
As a designer, I work systematically with a realistic, data-driven process, but you can’t chase the artist within me away from the table; she’s also fully present in the action. We’re intuitive, using instincts, and when the gut feeling demands it – we also let it lead…
That’s what happened with the Y.02 collection.
Art and architecture are always present in our design; they’re the drive and the inspiration, but this time I felt how the inner artist within me was taking the reins. So with a lot of love, a soft, airy collection took shape, transparent and feminine, with delicacy and precision just the way I know I want it.
Our inspiration – those fragile bubbles of nylon wrapping the delicate package and protecting it – gave birth to a collection that touches deeply.
An aesthetic capsule that manages to contain softness and spark in one breath.
This refined conflict has become, before our eyes, the definition of modern femininity – soft yet strong, airy yet deep, independent and gentle.
Every dress in this Y collection feels like a living entity to us – breathing, pulsating, trembling, excited. Each such dress is a woman, an inspiration, the best friend.
