Yesterday’s reality has turned into fantasy.
To wander again in the world’s cities. To hop into urban hubs bustling with life.
To fly, to visit exhibitions, to go shopping, to go out for entertainment, to meet people.
To spend time.
To be on the move.
The Fall/Winter 2020 collection conveys the joy of movement.
The universal woman in the big city.
Little black dresses shimmering with clever accents – nettings, fringes, belts, and velvet elements. Lively movement in the City of Lights.
I draw inspiration from my beloved world capital,
The City of Lights and fashion.
A city of beautiful architecture and timeless chic.
The city of Pierre Hermès, Yves Saint Laurent, Christian Dior, and Coco Chanel.
A city that introduced the most significant fashion creation of the twentieth century –
the Little Black Dress. Or by its professional endearment, the LBD
Audrey Hepburn, in her most iconic look, made this dress a cultural symbol in the film “Breakfast at Tiffany’s.”
But long before that, in 1926, Vogue magazine introduced the little black dress for the first time.
Until then, black dresses were worn only for mourning, and in voluminous silhouettes and full of fabric.
Coco Chanel thought differently.
“The little black dress will become a kind of uniform for the modern woman,” Vogue predicted,
and it didn’t imagine it would still be true after 100 years…
