In our recent photoshoots for our new winter collection, we decided to experiment with a innovative approach and bring elements from this technological discourse into the photoshoot set: photographing the model against a giant projection of herself.
The central idea is to emphasize the relationship between the small and the large, between the personal and the general, between the digital and the human.
As the model stands in front of her immense projection, she simultaneously reflects and competes with it. The large image represents the woman’s portrayal in society, the expectations, roles, and stigmas, while the real model represents individuality, true detail, the person behind the portrayal.
The dresses, as usual, elegant and mysterious, merged seamlessly with the giant projection, as they too were central players and part of the interplay between the real and the virtual. The effect was stunning, bizarre, and surprising. The grand projection reflected behind the small dress, and vice versa, creating a creation of unexpected lighting and mystery.
At the end of the photoshoots, we felt that we had achieved something new, that we had managed to develop a dialogue between the personal and the general, between the large and the small, between the dress and the model.
Art, fashion, and technology merge here to create something unlike anything we’ve seen before.
